    Cold, Wet Weather Jacket

Update - The jacket has been sold. Thank you.

    Cheers.

Hi Folks, are you tired of being cold on those Winter rides or carrying wet weather gear around and when you use it finding out it leaks? This could be the answer to both problems if you are looking for an all weather bike jacket. I bought this Clover Interstate jacket for a holiday ride through the Snowy Mountains and Canberra and it was toasty warm and kept out all the water no matter where we rode and how long we stayed out including a patch of riding through some snow on our way into Cooma, that was fun! Yes, this jacket can handle pretty cold and wet conditions as well as mild conditions once you remove the liner. I am not intending to ride in that sort of wet and cold again so it's time to sell the jacket. Here is the official line from Clover:

    Clover Interstate Weatherproof Jackets

Interstate JacketInterstate jackets made by Clover in Italy feature a superior quality, fully weatherproof Du Pont Cordura exterior with a Miporex lining. Tested in storm conditions around the world, the Interstate jacket keeps you dry and warm in the cold weather and comfortable in fair weather. Removable European CE armor in the shoulders and elbows conforms to body contours. The jackets include a zip-out thermal liner, thumb attachment to keep sleeves in place under gloves and optional CE back protector. Waist, collar and cuffs are fully adjustable and the front of the jacket is equipped with a triple closure zip and rubberized buttons.

    End Quote.

O.K. that's the speil from Clover and now here's mine. Without doubt this is the best quality wet/cold weather jacket that works as advertised that I have ever worn and in 40 years of riding I have owned a few jackets that were total duds, but not this one.

The optional back protector is included as are the shoulder and elbow armour. This jacket has never been pranged and is in excellent condition in every way, no stains, rips, tears or mods. All the adjustment straps, zipps, velcro and clips are perfect and there are no holes or tears in any part of the jacket including the five pockets. The upper right arm sleeve has a very small rub mark (see photo) on the outside however, I didn't notice any water/wind getting through it during the ride so there is no problem there. Some people may not be aware of the Clover brand however, these quality Euro jackets work as advertised and although expensive when new they ensure you enjoy the ride and after a few days in the rain and cold you will still be smiling and be glad you spent the money, I know I did and that was after handing the stunning salesperson with the distorted white tee shirt $790 for this jacket, liner and optional back protector. Hhhmmm, she could have offered me a Honda and I would have bought it!

The size is XL and will fit a chest from 110cm through to 125cm with comfort using the waist and arm adjustment straps.

The price for being dry and warm with this jacket including the liner, back protector and armour: $ 360.00 plus postage in Australia using Australia Post. For you blokes in Canada or Europe that may be interested I could get a quote for postage if you send me your details via P.M. Note the photo that shows the rub mark on the right sleeve caused by a small day pack used on the trip. The jacket was cleaned after the one and only trip it was used on and cleaned again this week before taking the photos. It is fresh and clean and like new.

Not sure if you've been outside over the last few days Murf, but it's bloody cold here and we have the same weather.
