We'll all have to increase our security and hire a security guard every time we go for a Sunday coffee for fear of people breathing on it. ( which I already do - the worrying, not the guard ).

However saying that I also thing the market will determine the value based on supply and demand.

You have hit the nail squarely on the preverbal head "the market will determine the value based on supply and demand

That is exactly what will determine the prices. The price of parts are next to really start increasing. Look at anything for GS1000S. A ignition switch cover sold on Monday for around A$200 and the chrome tail trim A$300 (and not purchased by me, as much as I wanted them)

You insure it for an agreed value - market value doesn't drive that, you do.
    Gone riding!

That is a really good point. With the age the condition / values vary so much.

The shark fins on the Gumtree bike have been fitted to the wrong sides - they're angled in at the bottom instead of out.
