Hi Stuart thanks for sending me the link . Very nice bike , what is your opinion of it ? do you think it is a good buy ? any faults you can spot ? I noticed the lower forks & left hand side cases have been painted ?

That is a really nice example German. Apart from the exhaust, seat and shocks it must be pretty close to original. Is $12000 about right? That is up for debate.

Someone spent a shedload of mozza doing it up and then bolt the fins on the wrong way, always good for a laugh.

German, it boils down to "Will you be happy riding it knowing you spent that much on it"?

You could buy a cheaper one and then give it a resto and be above that price.
Or you could score something cheap and tidy (rarely) but if you have that much for a Kat. Jump on it. You're the only one that needs to be happy with it.

    German,

this bike is being sold by a company called "Classic Bikes Direct"; Richard Scoular 0400 222 040 or 1300 734 826 in Victoria.

Direct link to the bike and his company.

I have done a couple of deals with him was happy overall. But have a chat with him and see if you can talk a deal. If you are interested call him sooner than later as he does seem to sell Katanas very quickly.

Wouldn't you be expecting an original exhaust for $12K (I just so happen to have an LHS full system I could sell you)? I always thought this guys stuff was overpriced and could definitely find similar bikes in better condition for cheaper (like $9K for an RZ250.........). I'd venture to suggest you wont get a good deal from a dealer cause they know these things are worth good money.

As for Spinelli he is importing from Japan so if that isn't an issue then you'll get a low KM bike for the price.
    Gone riding!

Hi Greman, I have to agree with Boogiman here.
Would I pay that much, actually Yes based on the look on Internet. But given the price of an airfare these days, should consider doing a bit of "Shopping" and call on as many units you can in a given area.

I bought a cheap one, and proceeded to plough 10k into it in new parts - but i am absolutely happy
Would I do it again? That's debatable as now am thinking of a next one that I can just ride home after purchase.

You have to be happy or it will eat away at you.
    Hope that helps
