Yes, I agree Stuart, the pipes on the listed Saffer SXZ are not the 33mm outlet and appear to be smaller outlet stock JDM pipes.

The E27 SXZ were supplied with what appeared to be "stock" black chrome 4-2 Kat pipes however, the muffler outlet was in fact 33mm diameter rather than the stock 27mm outlet. A Katana collector in N.Z. has been offered a mozza for his E27 SXZ 33mm pipes. A few years ago a set of genuine E27 SXZ 33mm pipes were set to Australia from Japan which was how the attached image with the vernier was obtained.

You had me at "Yes, I agree Stuart"!
    Got to love the verniers.

Thought i was blessed to find a complete 750 set with 26.5 outlet. 33mm is like walking into a bar and saying your "John Holmes"! Some will understand.

Attachment "Woodford" appears to be wire-wheeled / 33mm porn!

25 more units of the same E27 spec SXZ machines were built by Suzuki and exported to South Africa.
At least, the front calipers and swingarm are not the same as the E27.

JDM units I've seen were restricted to 21.5mm.
Aust delivered exhaust is 26.5mm. The photo looks like it's a small apature to me - 21.5!
The exhaust is probably for JDM 750. because the thickness of the clamp also looks like 21mm. SXZ is 26.5mm.

But I think this is a valuable vehicle, because it is SXZ anyway.

Hi Stuart, yeah, the shiney "Woodford" Kat is an Australian E24 SXZ fitted with 33mm E27 porn. Who would have thought something only 33mm and porn could go together in the same sentence?

    Cheers.

Hi all, here is the part number for the 33mm big bore mufflers

    These are the front calipers.

Here are the calipers when I rebuilt them. They appear to have more metal in them that the standard Kat calipers, may be extra heat sink capacity? Who knows?

Hi Darryl, thanks for the muffler numbers and confirming the GS1100G calipers for the E27. Yeah, the extra mass would be a helpful heat sink for sure, couldn't hurt. Was told by Suzuki the E27 pipes are NLA and the last set in Japan they sold were made of gold, one lung and both kidneys would have bought them.

    Cheers mate.
