It has been a very poor effort by Suzuki Motorcycle Australia and the manner they have handled the issues has been a totally..................!

What was to be a magnificent launch has ended with customers that had pre - ordered bikes missing bits and pieces and those that had everything supplied were all supplied after the launch.

I understand that the Suzuki Australia marketing department are now under fire of the senior management of Suzuki but none of this solves the problems still being experienced.

Overall the sheer arrogance of the marketing team is incomprehensible and very disappointing as Lewis Croft has not bothered to listen to anyone.
Preservation before restoration - they are only original once

I remember when our Kats turned 30 Tom. And we were trying to get a big get together ( which happened ) and Suzuki OZ was invited and they really couldn't give a F$%&K.

Well as mentioned I bought a new tyre from Bikebiz Parramatta. Sooo I popped into the Suzuki dealer section and this time I was allowed to 'sit' on the new Katana IMG_5354[1].jpg IMG_5356[1].jpg liked that there was more body work in front of the handle bars compared to the GSX-S1000 but I was close to tippy toes seated, maybe the seat is adjustable. Just seemed a bit high, although I am average in height ?? ...mmm

    Cheers Andrew.

Im 5'8" and just collected mine, Im just on tippy toes also, cant find anything about height adjustment, but i don't think ill worry about it as its such a well balanced bike I can bounce from side to side easily on it.

    Hi gents
Seat is NOT adjustable. Same as original circa 80', 81 750/1000/1100 the rubbers on underside of seat sit direct to the sub-frame.
I'm 5'11", but know I have a long torso and short legs ( perhaps that's why I've always been comfortable on my 82'! ).

    Just completed the SoO ride.
    Outbound - McGraths hill/Musselbrook/Tamworth/Waughope(via the Oxley)/Kempsey/Nambucca.
Saturday group ride through Nambucca hinterland and the old Gaol at South West Rocks.
Return - Nambucca to Sydney via F1 ( all be it via a Max Belworthy deviation ).

Yes, I'm on tipsy-toes if I want both feet to touch the ground, but.
I'm loving the bike, and it's actually making me love my 82' even more than I did if that's possible!

Insanely jealous to have missed the SoO, but great to hear about (pictures please) the trip and adventures. Thanks Stuart and glad it went well, very excited about your new kat.

    Cheer Andrew.
