Thanks again, bike is on its way.
Looks like 1260 is the way to go.

Can anyone direct me to front end swap procedure, was looking at busa USD forks, on complete with calipers on Ebay for about $800.
Is this the way to go? There seems to be a lot of different setups, ideally I'd like something with zero custom fabrication.

I'm also after a rear swingarm for fatter tyre.

    Thanks in advance.

All of the GSXR USD's from the 90's fit and are a good length.
You can use later stuff but it is shorter so you'll need extensions on the top of the leg to get the ride height back. This can be worth it as later stuff is generally lighter.
And I've not done it but you can get a 5.5" wheel in the stock swingarm.

That's the go. They've been around a while.
That way you get better brakes, better forks, lighter wheels etc.
you can get a 6" wheel in the standard arm but you need to make some other mods to get it to work.

You just have to get bearings that adapt the stem to the Katana bearing cups. That's the easy bit.
The issue will be if the lock stops work.
I have '93 1100 USD's. I went to fit them to an '87 Gix but the stops didn't work so I cut them off.
Then I didn't like the look so they are going on my Kat. They would have worked on the Kat, but as I've already cut them off, I will build them back up with weld and shape them.

You can make anything work if you give it some thought.
