    Racing Carburetors

Hi, there! Are any of members using a TMR or TMR-MJN carburetor of Mikuni for Katana? I have seen some modified Kats here in pictures, but have not seen TMR or TMR-MJN in them. Are they possibly not being distributed in Australia? Takahiro TMRMJN.jpg

A bit expensive for Average Joe I suspect.
Are you planning on racing with them?

Hi, for Average Joe they might be expensive, and are also expensive at least for me. I am not planning on racing, but they are also being used by average Joe on street in Japan. For street use there are also optional attachments for standard air box. tmr5.jpg

I think so too, and they are lighter than RS or VM. But you had already known about their existence, hadn't you??? Nobody uses them in Australia?

There's a handfull of people over here who have TMR-MJNs, but I've never seen a set on the road (I know of a set on a long term project bike here in Brisbane). I know a guy in the UK who has a set, they're supposed to be very good. The old RS36/38/40 is quite common here, but I don't think TMRs were ever really sold her.

Hi, I was wondering about the reason why TMRs have not been attached to any Australian Kats, though TMRs and TMR-MJNs had been released for more than 20 years ago. But my doubts have been solved by your explanation. But in Australia there is also an official distributor of Mikuni. I wonder why they will not handle TMRs. I was surprised to see the website of mikunioz.com, because they still handle the RS Carburetor Kits there, though RS Carburetors have not been sold as new in Japan for more than 20 years. I wonder whether there is something wrong.
