    RIP Darrell Eastlake

Have just seen on the news, that Darrell Eastlake has died aged 75. Always good to see him and Barry Sheene commentating. Though I often wondered how he survived commentating some races as he would get so excited ,you would think he'd have a hear attack and keel over ,actually he did have one at another sporting event he covered, I think at a beach,if anyone can correct me on this. He was a legend.

I remember him commentating the first Motorcycle GP races at Philip Island in 1989 and absolutely losing his shit over the Gardiner-Rainey battle. It was epic and so was Big Darrell's commentary.

He was a classic and always entertaining. I remember we were on a boys weekend and we were at a pub on the central coast and Dazza walks in with a very very large breasted young lady and a mate yells out ......THEIR HUUUUUUUGE....
There wasnt a dry eye in the bar. The look on the poor bastards face was epic.

    RIP old man.
