Thanks Max. That's a premium price considering it's not an Australian market Kat. A very tidy unit. Hope it sells....................................... insert Ex- W.W. owner and pile of cash.

If you look closely you will notice that the wire rims are not original and are replacements
Preservation before restoration - they are only original once

Yes Tom, your eagle eyes have spotted them. Those rims are replacement as well as being smaller front, looks like an 18" instead of the OEM 19". Although the rims have been replaced the V.I.N. is the important bit and it could always have the correct rims fitted to return it to OEM W.W. spec. It would be an expensive exercise on top of the selling price.

so, the VIN is for a wire wheel Kat. It would be a rare find now to get the original rims. The last set of genuine wires that sold in WA just before Christmas went for $1500 plus freight to Sydney.

Yep, OEM rims are getting pricey but they turn up from time to time. Over here a set of 1.85 and 2.50 go for $600 to $900 depending on condition. A lot of 2.50 rims now live on the front of W.W. Kats.

Hey Glen I think your view of premium price is going to have to be recallibrated ,my friend. That would be the going price for a WW Kat no premium there. I paid just under that for mine 2 years ago and his has 2,000 less km than mine. With standard 1100's in original condition going for early teens and 750s in the mid $5-$10's that price is achievable. If it was mine it would be $18k start no $15.6. In Japan and Europe that asking price would be cheap.
    Gone riding!
