Wow, a stunning transformation Dave! Thanks for the photos and run down on the "freshen up", if that's your idea of a freshen up please show me what you do for a full on restro. Like you say now it's time to ride the "Soul Kat" and enjoy the Kat. How is the engine performing, doing what you had planned?

    Cheers,
    Glen.

    Very nice.

    I only have one criticism.......

The Gearsack is the most ugly system ever, I would prefer that the Ventura system used, it used to be known as a 'Hallmark' rack system back in the day, you can get the 'L' brackets with the pack and then when you're not on holidays, you put the 'sport' rack on, it is sooooo much betterer looking.

Thanks Glen, the motor is great have only put about 150km on it so still running it in but the acceleration is phenomenal. Still sorting the gearing as the straight cut primarys have dropped the drive ratio a lot, so had 15/41 with old motor and that produced 5th/3500/70kph with the new motor. Have now 16/41 witch is better for now to run it in but I think either 39 or 40 eventually, sticking with 630 chain for now as I have all new chain and sprockets and Mick Hone had that 16T JT front for $35. The capacity ended up at 1260cc as well. All good John I answer to anything just, don't call me late for dinner.

Funny you should say that Scrapeit, I agree totally rack is ugly as and this is the 'good' free one I got with some other free Katana parts. Had sent the rack with frame to be sandblasted he tried but it was like plastic dipped and stuck on like shit to a blanket, I took it home and tried to burn it off and it would melt off then restick on so I just threw some paint on the 'better' looking freeby and said stuff it that'll do for now. But you know how it goes I tried to do everything 'during' the freshen up cause now that it is back on the road its like yea yea I do that next weekend, not.

All sounding very good and once you have that new power plant bedded in she will be a Hell of a fun machine. Looking forward to seeing more photos of her out and about.

    Cheers.
