Pod air filter - where to buy

Any one know where I can get the pod filters for the carbs on my 1100 83.

The throat outside diameter is 55mm

Locally they want $100 each for the k&n filters.
    ($400 total)

    Does that seem right ?

Has anyone had any experience with foam ram air type or the cheap eBay chrome jobs ?

    Any advice greatly appreciated.

use the rubber bellmouths from the stock airbox with a pair of the ramair brand filters from the UK, they fit one filter per two carbs and just pull over the trumpets. Work allot better than the k&n pods, the closed end on the k&n reflects pulses and stuffs with the way they meter the fuel.

+1 on the rubber bellmouths or velocity stacks with foam filters over the top. Definitely better than pods, much easier to tune.

The internal flange diameter is 53.97mm (say 54) so is a couple of mm short on standard 1100 carbs, being rubber it may stretch of course !! - It does say rubber will stretch 1.5 mm, so might get away with it

I used the calculator for suitable bikes the site provides, using the GS1000S and came back "Not Suitable" though.

Hmmm yeah I was hoping that it would stretch, they look like a good set.
