Ha ha, I thought that'd raise an eye brow.
He rivals the guy I bought my Kat off. He told me he was thinking about taking it to the IoM TT.
I said "You'd want to be a gun rider to go there"!
He replied "Don't you worry about me mate, I pulled out of the driveway the other day and I was keeping up with traffic by second gear"

He lived in a 60 zone on a straight.

WTF - surely that's a piss take? Did they unpack the other two cylinders from the crate?

It should be thrown on top of the "crate" and burn them together, it has suffered enough.

Did you see all the scrapes on the LHS - they get in shot towards the end. Must have been a hell of a rough trip in the crate, maybe forgot to tie it down?

Even better shot at beginning if you pause it.

great looking ride and yes, yours really does look more like it is out of the crate than the GSXR which actually looks like it came out of two crates (or possibly bins) . One red and one blue.

In Sydney the blue bins are Recylables, the red ones are garbage!

For a Kat with a few miles and used as a daily rider this one is pretty close to "out of the crate". Original engine/frame, screen, clocks, tank, helmet lock, lift handle, 4-2 genuine exhaust, original Kat hand grips and bar weights, genuine mirrors, seat and pillion strap, uncut rear guard and original 1982 Katana ratchet handle rear shocks. As you see it here in the photo this was unrestored and had not be painted or had any mods done to it except for the stainless spokes and the second Katana decal on the front plastic.

The Kat with the shiney spokes is the same Kat in the top photo having a rest at the Woodford Bakery with two of her W.W. friends.

Cheers.

Now that is a nice original WW. Is this one of yours Glen?
Assume it is an 1100

Thanks Stuart, yes she is my SXZ 1100. Bought this one in 1986 and it'd be a safe bet she will be hanging around for the next 29 years as well.

Cheers.

Good to hear.
Told the finance manager when I was rebuilding mine, "you can put it in a glass case ( Allah Snow White style ) atop my grave when I go, but it will never be sold", not making that mistake twice in this world or the next....

Yeah, I have the when I am dead sorted. My Girl is happy with the Will arrangements, my ashes go in the tank and the Kat will live in the Man Cave, that's Plan A anyway. Not sure how long that will last because my Girl is pretty switched on when it comes to Kats so Iam thinking it would be soon swapped for a few pairs of Ferragamo shoes. Hope she enjoys the shoes as much as I enjoyed the Kat, that's all I would ask in the end.

Cheers.

Could always get the ashes inserted into the frame somehow. That way no matter what happens in terms of change of ownership, tank or engine, you'll always be a part of it.

Me thinks there could be a sideline business opportunity there! "Forget sending your ashes into outer space. Put them in the inner space, of your frame!"

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha, I know the name but I am not going to mention it because once a name is not spoken then the person doesn't matter. And he doesn't matter that's for sure.
