Listed as 82, but my extensive knowledge(:D) says it's either an 84 or not original. Still looks nice in the one picture. Definately the colour I'm going to go with. When mine gets some attention.

Very interesting and it seems in good condition going by the photo and very reasonable price wise for the ever popular Red/Silver SE 1100. Derek will be impressed with it......NOT!

Let us know how the inspection/ride goes Tom, hope it works out and you will finally own a Red SE.

Cheers.

Seat looks original and in good nick, grips look like foam aftermarket.
Side covers are missing the three black decals, but yes does look like an '84.
I always get nervous when there are not many pics. ( can't see if the master brake cap screws are original ):-D

Checked this bike out this morning. 4/84 compliance. The owner has with-drawn the bike from sale as he has a relo who wants it.

Thanks Tom, that's a bit of a downer a relo wanting it when it clearly had your name on it! Any chance you remember the V.I.N.?

Cheers.

That's life. With the VIN, no, I was rather disappointed and did not even think of it. I will call past tomorrow and if still on the showroom floor I will record for you.

I can understand the disappointment Tom, thanks for the offer to call in a grab the V.I.N. if she is still there, much appreciated.

Cheers,
Glen.

For a bike that is 31 years old, not to bad at all. A few untidy things, rust on frame were brake fluid has leaked and paint lifted under rear brake cylinder. You picked the missing black inserts on the side panels, looking at the bike, I would say it has been repainted. Been down the road on the side??????? Maybe. Instrument needles appeared to be replaced (unless the 84 had different needles). The K's did not match what I was told on the phone. New front tyre. Looked like it would go over the pit with out any real issues. I would still like to buy it.

Thank you Tom, I appreciate you taking the time to chase up the V.I.N. and engine details. Yes, I am looking forward to Kat-ching up with you and Leslie on Saturday while we kick over rusty bits of steel and rummage through old boxes of stripped bolts and cracked indicators in the search for the Holy Grail = Suzi 27mm ring spanner.

Cheers,
Glen.
