Working on the bike downstairs today and turned around to find water coming under the front door.

Our newly excavated front yard.

Coming in under the carport door.

Had to dig a trench up the side of the house to drain it away. Was slow but it eventually worked

Abit came into the house but thankfully downstairs is a garage at the moment.

Our house was built before storm water was compulsory so the water drains into a small gravel pit in the backyard but it's old and full of silt and clay so it backs up.

Bugger Josh! The good news of course is at least that's an easy fix... some channeling will sort that out pretty well, just gotta make sure it stays clear of crap.
