With a family member overseas at the moment he asked me to take his bike out for a spin. So this is my transport for 2 weeks.

Goes well, bloody noisy though. But.. not a classic.

Yamaha xj6

Feels good to be on 2 wheels again, even if just for a couple of weeks!

Well, the night of picking this bike up I got what I thought was an ear infection, 1am the next day I woke up with heaps of pain in my ear, almost drove myself to the hospital it was that bad. Put a heat pack on it and then heard this weird noise, like the final stages of a kettle boiling, coming g through that ear. Pain instantly gone. Followed by fluid leaking from my ear and partial deafness. Turns out I had an inner ear infection, pressure built up and made worse by riding the bike up the freeway with the short pipe and my ear drum burst.

Had to ride the bike back to sydney today, did so with earplugs in but it didn't make a difference. Am now completly deaf in that ear tonight. Hopefully it improves!
